I completely understand why this book was talked about so much after it came out. It's a practically perfectly novel that tells the story of an amazing life, blending romance, the supernatural, history, and truly human relationships all into one great read.
I loved Addie as a character. You were able to experience her growth, her pain, and the great moments in her life. The entire premise is equal parts heartbreaking and inspiring. It was so easy to get lost in Addie's world - rather in the history of our world with Addie throughout it.
Schwab definitely makes you feel for the characters and easily makes you invested in their trajectory throughout the story. I already know I'm going to want to re-read this one later.
Oh, and I didn’t know three simple words like “I remember you” could make me tear up - but they did.

I don't think I realized until after I finished the book and noted it down into my reading journal that it was over 600 pages long. I certainly didn't feel it to be that long. As a final installation to the original part of the Kingdom Keepers series, I thought it was a great book. I couldn't gloss over how cool it was to learn about how this book was written. Ridley essentially crowdsourced parts of the book - reaching out to his fandom to contribute their own suggestions and writing. And he included it in the final book! I can only imagine how amazing that must have felt for some of the young authors whose contributions got chosen and were included in the book.
In terms of plot, it was a bit complicated, a lot more intense, and overall, did a good job tying all the ends of the series together. I loved the Mickey plotline and I loved the fact that it took place in a park I know and love. Don't get me wrong, the Disney World parks have made awesome settings for the past books, but having this book take place in the OG park made the final battle so much more powerful and poignant.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed it. I mean I didn't really know what to expect coming into the book, especially since it is a graphic novel, but all the information this little book contains is amazing. I really enjoyed Gladstone's style of writing, her sense of humor, and honestly, Neufeld's illustrations were pretty cool. I'm so glad this was my summer reading for college. I can't wait to see what we're going to do with it.
I loved it. Being a Kennedy family history buff I found the attention to certain details about their life in this novel wonderful. It was funny, heartbreaking, frustrating, and, being historical fiction and taking everything with a grain a salt, pretty realistic. It was just a pleasant read as a window to an idyllic time in history. Would definitely recommend.
