Jumping back into some horror reads, I waited a few months to finally get to read this book. And I... didn't love it. Which is a bummer becuase I was so excited about it because of its hype.

I did like the characters. It was creepy enough (and a bit gory), but I didn't get sucked into the story as much as I wanted to.

It was absolutely a great book. I have already added it to my “all time faves” bookshelf on goodreads. Everything from the writing, to the plot, to the characters - it was all great. It was so easy to get lost in the story, in the descriptions of the circus and it’s cast of characters. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone needing a getaway in their mind.

This was actually one of the best books I've ever read. I wasn't completely sure I liked fantasy, but this book proved me wrong. I'd honestly recommend it to anyone who wants to hear a story, a beautiful written story.
