i enjoyed how as more information was revealed, it shifted the context and my perception of the story. 
also, the acknowledgments at the end made me cry. 

I love Ottessa Moshfegh’s writing style, and I loved that I kinda hated the characters. 

a good book!! very elegantly written!! i can’t pinpoint exactly why, but i loved reading this.

Roxane Gay’s writing is a work of art; she’s passionate, concise, and insightful all at once, and she has no qualms with discussing subjects deemed controversial. “The alienable rights of women,” in particular, echos my frustrations, in a much more impactful and masterful way than i could have even imagined. 

I’m not typically a big fan of fiction but this was really good!!
