This was a really fun way to present an interesting psychology concept!

I LOVED this book! My mentee recommended it to me and I'm so glad they did, the characters and story were so well written and such an interesting concept. I definitely recommend this book!

AMAZING. Literally probably up there with Starless Sea as one of my favorite books ever. The way that Morgenstern writes, jumping between stories and times, is so amazing and scratches my brain just right. The characters are all so alive and vivid in my mind, and you can tell she has such a passion for writing good stories from how high quality they are. I am so excited to see her next book, and I'll be thinking about Might Circus for a long time.

It was really awesome to get to take a look into the women's side of prison, because most of these stories I've read in the past are of a man's perspective. Kerman is really good at emotional connection, both to herself, others, and the reader. I didn't even know it was a book before the show. I definitely recommend it!

I'm a huge sucker for cute romance, so I did enjoy this a lot. I liked the writing of the interpersonal relationships, the different setups of chapters, and the inclusions of illustrations! A lot of creative ideas. I'm not sure how I feel about the twist, and Maddy's family backstory was underdeveloped, as well as Maddy's own backstory. I would recommend this book if you like cheesy romances that have some new takes.

McCurdy has a very specific and honest way of portraying the way things happened and the way she was feeling while they were happening, as well as a really amazing grasp of her perspectives at each time in her life. I loved the sectioning of the book! A very good read, and an interesting perspective into how the film industry was at that time. Definitely a cultural touchstone. She will be remembered for this.

This was really interesting and thought provoking, though it didn't fully capture me the way other books often do, I'm not really sure why. Still, really interesting, and a good concept to discuss with others.
