This was cute, and for the time it was written, it was probably great. But it was very predictable and read almost like a Hallmark movie. Basically a Hallmark movie for teens in 2008. I felt the writing was really simplistic, and I didn’t care too much for the characters. A lot of characters were stereotypes (also, cheerleaders are people with more than 1 dimension. I promise they don’t talk about JUST cheerleading and nothing else) which made the story seem really immature.

I did appreciate the nice little bow of a happy ending with all three stories fitting together.

But also, this was a little too hetero for me. If this was written today, I could see a gay romance storyline being involved, and I probably would have liked it way more.

Ugh. My heart. Keep giving me lovely queer stories with healthy relationships, please!

This made me feel so many different things - grief, joy, relief, loss, love. A wonderful portrayal of an abusive relationship and how it affects everyone around you. I love the advice given in how to handle relationships - that love should never take away from you, only add. So beautiful. This book will stay with me for a while.

Fun story and well-crafted mystery of Nancy Drew. Love the characters and the lgbtq representation in Nancy’s friends. Ending on a cliffhanger makes me want to read more.

Every time Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera write a book, I know my heart will be ripped out of my body, I’ll cry irrationally for hours, and I won’t want to leave their world. This book was no exception. ❤️❤️❤️

It captured the complex emotions and events of adolescence, bullying, and trying to find yourself. Definitely almost cried at the end. This book could save lives.
