Pretty fast-paced and to the point for a non-fiction, which is appreciated. I liked that the author presented the way both sides of the conflict would view the same event. I think I'd have enjoyed this one better in print, though.

Just wasn't for me

I wanted to like this one. It's a grumpy/sunshine dynamic and it has baking in it, two of my favorite things. Unfortunately, the grumpy is just boring if not toxic, and the sunshine could do much better.
I wanted to enjoy the recipes but there was so much fatphobia and so much emphasis on them being low calorie that I skipped through most of it.
Other than Gon and the fujoshi girl (who has actual character development and some important things to impart on a straight audience), I found the characters unpleasant and I can't keep reading the series, which is a shame.

This is only the set-up for the arc, but what a set-up!

A thoughtful look into sorrow - and possibly depression.

I think I'll like it better when I hear it a second time.

Another solid volume with some good emotional moments and the beginnings of a backstory.
