I absolutely adore Rachel Griffin’s twist on magic. This one was just as good as the first and the enemies to lovers twist was done so sweetly. The world building is subtle but fierce with how it’s connected to nature, the characters have amazing growth and their relationship is sincere and real. Pike was the nerdy boyfriend we all wish we had and Iris is so strong willed it’s incredible.

So many good poems that hit right to the heart. Powerful yet simple in the best way. The art piece with each poem made some of the tougher topics feel light. I adored almost every piece in this book, each one was unique and sweet with words and incredibly relatable.
The title is perfection too, you can feel the self love and growth - the shift - in each poem towards that goal. Beautiful.
