bewitchingly breathtaking.

hooked from beginning to end.

ok. it was good but wasn't as good as i was hoping it would be.
i wish we could give half ratings on goodreads, it would have got a 3.5. but it's better than a 3, so i'll have to settle with a 4 star rating. therefore i'll have to go edit my review for the hunger games as the first book was much better than the second one.
i don't really know what to say about the book. nothing really had me captivated or on the edge of my seat. the part of the book that affected me the most was the Capitol bashing Cinna just before Katniss was to enter the arena for the second time. i don't know what that expresses about my impressions of the book, but for this event to be the most gravitating surely says something. doesn't it?
part of me still doesn't really like Katniss. i don't know whether it's because i don't trust her or because i flat out blatantly don't like her. i find her to be self involved, it's all about Katniss and how she was betrayed, how she was lied to etc. i know she's the main character, but i find her personality off-putting and selfish.
please tell me the third book is better than the second!
