Fantastic (and true!) spy story. Ian Flemming owes much of his James Bond to Eddie Chapman.

I felt the faint distaste of being preached at the whole time I was reading this book. If I want preaching, I'll read Chesterton or Merton.

I should learn my lesson and read this one chapter at a time, like his readers did. Will try it with the next book.

I didn't think i'd ever finish this 600 page leviathan, but it was fantastic. If you even faintly recall the NBC series Homicide based on this book, I recommend you give it a shot.
