3.5 of 5. I figured it out much sooner than gently, but I suppose it would have been a much more shocking ploy when it was written.

I just have no patience for college students, their tragic backstories, and their crises of faith. This is not a knock on Kwon's writing, which is very good. But the plot is just not something I care to read.

Revolutionary for its time, but terribly dated in the end.
