I love this book.

This is a children's book that is all about Pride and Pride Parades. I think that the illustrations are WONDERFUL, and the rhythmic lines throughout make for a fun read-aloud! I also really love the reading guide and notes to parents and caregivers in the back as it provides extremely important and helpful information.

This Day in June is a beautiful way to show children what Pride is all about!

4/5 (physical book)

The books tell the story of Sylvia Méndez and her family as they fight against segregation. The story is told in a way for young readers to understand.

The one thing I didn't love about this book was the illustrations.

I think this is a great book to start conversations about America's segregated past and the amazing individuals who worked tirelessly for change.

Walking. Praying. Hoping. Dreaming.

This story tells about protectors of water. It starts simple and slow, with minimal words on the page, accompanied by unique and beautiful illustrations. As the story and plot intensify, more words appear on the page and the illustrations get more chaotic.

The story of water. Told by its protectors.
