This is a cutesy YA romance. The plot was kind of predictable, but I enjoyed the story as an audiobook. 

I was excited for this book because I enjoy Counting By 7s, but I have to say I was pretty disappointed. The writing was not up to par for me and the story felt like it was not put together well. I might have had too high of expectations going into this, but it just was not for me. 

I believe this is one of the first horror YA books I have read, and it was okay. I did not enjoy the beginning as it seemed to drag on with a lot of information I could have done without, and the ending felt a bit rushed. But I enjoyed the action-packed middle and I think that the concept of this one is really interesting. I just felt like some holes were never filled. 

This book was...okay. As someone who does not read a lot of fantasy, I was expecting something different. This book was kind of all over the place and I did not feel like I had a good sense of the characters, the magic system, or the world(s). 

This is a funny, cute story about a book nibbling monster. I think this is perfect for elementary-aged readers and gives some giggles to storytime!

I really loved this story! It is a wonderful memoir biography of Mary Walker that shows determination, dedication, and self-growth. The length is nice for elementary-aged children and is broken up with beautiful illustrations. This is a perfect addition to my toolbelt and I want to be sure to reference and use it in the future.

This is a brilliantly crafted collection of voices. Each page of the book is home to an individual voice, and that creates, at least for me, individuality behind each story. The artwork in this book is also beautiful and unique to each story, adding another element of individuality and bringing the stories to life. 

I also think this would be a good book to recommend to a reader who may not be confident, comfortable, or interested in nonfiction. The stories are powerful and complete in themselves, and together they create a beautiful collection, but being individual makes the content less overwhelming and easier to break down. 

Brilliantly told historical fiction story written in free verse. Melanie Crowder takes the real-life pieces of Clara Lemlich and sews them into an emotional, tough, and inspiring narrative of how the voice and ideas of one individual can spark the flames of an entire community. Crowder also provides some historical background on Clara and her family, including exclusive interviews with her family members. I am excited to have this book in my toolbelt and can't wait to use it in the future.
