Quite a big reveal this issue about one of the Titan's backstories. It was nice to see the Titans and Justice League interact. I always like it when the relationship between mentors and protégés is explored. I'd say this was an excellent setup for future storylines. Really interesting overall.

I like that we are getting to know the more interesting aspects of the characters during the Hunter Exam in this volume. I personally think Gon is insane. He is the type of main character that wants it all or nothing and is willing to put his life at risk even if there is only a small chance that he will get what he wants. Kurapika is proving to very much be the intellectual one in the group of main characters. Hisoka and Killua continue to be very secretive and their exact motives are not completely clear as of yet. I kind of disliked that in chapter 35 it felt like a lot of the fights for the Hunter Exam were being summarized to me. I hope that's not all I'm getting in the next volume.

This book does a great job of clarifying a lot of misconceptions about heaven. It uses scripture adequately and makes references that are relatable and easy to understand to give clear explanation about what heaven will actually be like as well as what God truly requires of us to get there. I highly recommend it for anyone who isn't sure about what the Bible reveals about heaven and needs guidance to truly comprehend the importance that God places on love and faith.

Killua's family is a really tough crowd to please. Thankfully he made friends like Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio who are stubborn as can be. Gon gets himself beaten up pretty badly just to get in touch with Killua after the Hunter Exam and his friends are there to support him all the way through it. If anything, the Hunter Exam didn't just grant the characters their licenses but a loyal friendship between each other. Gon is able to find out more info about his dad which is a step closer to accomplishing his goals. This was a bit of a bittersweet volume with many unanswered questions left. It will be interesting to see Killua and Gon train and meet the rest of their group in a few months. We'll see how they handle seeing Hisoka again when the time comes. Really good installment in the story!

All I have to say is that that was one hell of a ride. They did a great job of selling me the relationship between Sue and Ralph. I wasn't familiar with these characters all that much, but I still found them emotionally compelling, interesting, and believable. Green Arrow narrates a good portion of the story and through his voice they do an excellent job of exploring the moral grey's of some of the decisions that the members of the Justice League make. The culprit of the initial murder and the subsequent ones that follow took me for a loop. The story built up very well and hid the true culprit very well. I really liked the story but I think it's a shame they approached the "women in refrigerators" trope. It sucks that women are used so often in comics as scapegoats to advance the narrative of male characters this much. Overall, it was a great graphic novel and I highly recommend it. Get ready to be depressed, though.
