A bitch broke down and bought Spotify premium. Which means I know have access to hundreds of audio books. Since I'm working overtime today I figured why not.
I am sooo glad I listened to this. I struggle with reading non-fiction. I know if I had been reading this vs listening it would have taken two weeks vs the 4 hours.
The author is a Palestinian native who discusses soo many different levels of discrimination within Palestine, Israel, Africa, and the rest of the world. She addresses the views and treatments of Afro-Palestinians, the Queer community, honor killings, toxic masculinity, economic and territorial privilege.
She broke down how Palestinians with Blue cards vs Green cards differ and the resentment some feel towards one another.
She did such a fantastic job educating. on history, culture, and interpersonal experiences.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
