Finished book 4 this morning and I just want to say how happy I am that the author provided a heroine that represented big girls and real women. Heather had a career, owned a home, had a daughter, rocked a size 12, and questioned everything. And even though she wasn't a kick ass M16 like Emma she knew how to use a gun and was prepared to take care of her own. Like the other vampire stories there was the struggle of how to deal with a mortal/undead relationship but unlike the other books in the series the acceptence didn't happen over night. Which made it more real. Or as real as a vampire love story can be. Jean-Luc was funny and very caring. Loved the Star Trak references to his name. Another quick fun read by Kerrelyn Sparks. Love at Stake is definately a fun and light hearted series to help perk up your mood.

Why am I not surprised it took an Angel to defrost Connor's cold heart! I liked this story but not as much as the previous ones. I don't know how I feel about the introduction of angels and demons to this series. The demon in question wasn't even that scary or deceptive. I feel like this book moved slow. Loved the interaction between Vanda, Marta, Brynley, and Marielle. Loved the quips and banter. It was almost like a paranormal scene from sex in the city. Not too happy with the final battle. Wanted more action. Very interested in seeing more interaction between Bryn and Phinnas in future books. But in the end I'm not left disapointed can't wait to get my hands on the next story.

This is a super cute novella about some secondary characters in the Love at Stake series. I feel like it was hurried. The sex was 3 lines. I mean really who cements their love with a few strokes and passing out?? I'm glad that Maggie found happiness but the best parts of this for me was getting a better look at Ian. He's a Highlander who was turned at the age of 15. Could you imagine trying to get laid when your forever stuck in a teenager's body?? I am interested in reading his book which won't be until later in the series. I really liked this book because it was super funny and simple.
