The first time I read this as an arc and loved it!!! The second time around is just as good!! That ending though - gut wrenching

I loved the first book and demons bargain was okay. But this is my favorite of the series so far

3.5 stars. For at least 80 percent of this novel I found the MC to be a very annoying girl. She talks a lot, but I’m a very annoying arrogant way when she has a lot to learn in my opinion.

I was very up and down with Jade.
I’m really enjoying the story and I’m so excited to see what happens next. But I really don’t like how she was so hot and cold with Malachi and the ending. Like If you have read it you know what happens with her and Malachi.
But girl he whispered in your ear to warn you, you know he would never hurt you on purpose like that and if he hadn’t done what he did then you would have NO ONE on your side who could actually protect you.
If she hadn’t kept shutting down or randomly spurning him through the book I would have had a higher rating. Malachi isn’t perfect but he is doing all he can when she still can’t fully protect herself.
To add yes Malachi was also back and forth but in one section. She was back and forth the entire book until he did it back to her. She would get embarrassed being close to him just cause humans were around. Like…. I’m sorry he is your husband and you actually want him around?? Be confident in that
