This gets three stars for the moments that were funny and made me literally laugh out loud. Entirely too predictable and self-aware for my liking.

I really enjoyed this viewpoint of love’s impact on a dystopian world, and what humans decide to do about it. The main character faces several of the types of conflict while progressing through this coming of age, and it was done well - I liked watching her struggle and problem solve all the way to the end. 

The devious characters and their motives were much more entertaining to me than the groundwork that is Divergent.

I learned a lot about Stamos I didn't know. There were laughs and tears and everything in between. Thank you for sharing your stories.

Such good writing and addressing the social concerns of both timelines.

Well. That's not what I expected.

As a message about society to the intended audience (young adults), this is an excellent five star book. It does its job wonderfully.
As a re-read as an older adult, 12+ years since the original publishing, I have some do-not-like feelings about the writing style itself. I can't put my finger on what it is. Usually style is not an issue for me, but it made this read very difficult (almost a DNF).
