I wasn't going to buy it, but then I peeled the cover back and half-cracked the spine in the store, and was sold by the look (doodles!) and feel (so smooth) of the thing. And then I devoured it in a few days.

PMS week is a really, really great week to read this. Encapsulates all sorts of feelings.

Also, very glad I'm not the only one who keeps an "Intimacy Database," albeit a much less gruesome one.

When Diane Guerrero was 14, her parents were deported to Colombia. Since she was born on U.S. soil, she was a legal citizen and got to stay behind, on the love of family and friends. She had to fend for herself while dealing with the fear and trauma of her parents being taken from her while she was at school. The Orange is the New Black and Jane the Virgin star tells a heart-wrenching tale here. I cannot recommend it enough.

Maybe a memoir from an internet goofball like Ezarik may not seem feminist, but how about this? She’s been in a mostly male field of tech geeks for a decade and is regularly degraded for being a hot girl who can’t possibly like playing video games and should just get back in the kitchen. Of course, her stories are still goofy. But she doesn’t overlook the misogyny she endures regularly.

I'm a sucker for How-to-be-an-Adult books, if only so I can pat myself on the back and say, "Ok, you almost have it together. Good job!" This is perfect for that.

This “guide” is cute and fun. Just like Grace's YouTube channel! Except we learn a lot more about her and a whole lot about growing up being a woman in this mad, mad world.

Oh, Tyler. You done did it.

This little memoir is a delight. If you’re any fan at all of Tyler Oakley, past or present, you will adore reading Binge. It’s a fun, light read, with just enough seriousness to remind you that he’s a real person with real emotions.
