I was required to read this in high school, and read about a quarter of it before deeming it not worthy of my time; in reality, I think the idea of burning books terrified my 15-year-old self. It's still terrifying, but a kind of terrifying I can deal with.
Except when I start thinking that this really could be our fate. And then I just sit with my personal library and remember all the good times we've had.
