From here on out, Know My Name is required reading for all college students. I’ve declared it and now it is so. Chanel Miller was known only as Emily Doe for years while she battled her rapist, Brock Turner, in court. And now she gets to be in the world, freely, as herself. This is a devastating and empowering read, and a monumentally important one.

A pure delight. Do yourself a favor and listen to this little collection of humor pieces about being a polite Southern lady.

Lindy West at her best on all things feminism, including "Is Adam Sandler Funny?" and "Ted Bundy Was Not Charming—Are You High?" I highlighted SO MUCH of this book.

My friends have been getting pregnant lately, and while I have zero interest in reproducing myself, I'm SUPER interested in the entire concept of pregnancy. So I'm reading all these pregnancy books so I can better empathize with them, I guess? Or just throw fun facts at them. Pregnancy is fascinating, the female body is magic, etc.

DID YOU KNOW that my entire wheelhouse can be found in one book? Riley is the lead investigative reporter for her middle school's newspaper, and when she causes a stink with one story, the principal swoops in and decides now is the time to follow the student handbook. That includes disbanding the Red Club, where young menstruators meet weekly to vent and learn about the changes in their bodies. Riley and the club won't stand for it, so they rise up and are the coolest little menstruation activists I've ever seen (or read about).

A powerful story told in verse. Do this one on audiobook, if you can.

Look, I know that the ending is right there in the title, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t ruin my life in the best way possible. Adam Silvera is a monster and I love him.

This memoir about Porochista’s life with late-stage Lyme disease wrecked me.
