A cute story. Overall a simple and sweet story about a very shy girl experiencing her final year of highschool and her first boyfriend. I really liked Teddy and found him to be quite sweet. The beginning of the story made me think it was a younger audience level but it matured as the story went on. Some of the situations were juvenile but I mean they’re in high school so I guess it fits. Overall I liked the romance and the story. I thought it wrapped up sweetly and I had a fun time reading!

A magical story about sisters and a mysterious house. I really enjoyed this story! It was gothic and mysterious while having an interesting magic system. I liked the plot twist and the ending of the story. Overall a good read and I would definitely recommend

I really really wanted to love this book. I was hooked by the premise and thought “this one sounds like it’s for me!” The story revolves around a dentist bot named Jared who begins to malfunction and gets *gasp*feelings! Jared lives in a world in which bots can’t feel like humans do, they’re programmed and yet they have human dna and appear to be human. The plot is about Jared figuring out human emotions and write a screenplay. I thought it was fun reading about Jared trying to understand human behavior and the illogical aspects of certain things. But it tended to drag on and the quirky writhing style slowly began to get me. The story seemed to drag on a bit and I just really wanted it to end. There were fun pop culture references and the romantic plot between Jared and Amber was sweet. Overall this book just didn’t work out for me but it might work out for you! Go check it out!

This was an unexpected read for me. I went in thinking there would be a lot more action than there was. This story was interesting altogether but filled with a lot more romance drama than I expected. The story involves the Philosopher’s stone and the author creates a pretty neat magical realism world. I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the story about Thea trying to figure out how to make her place within the world and creating the stone. I just couldn’t really stand her doe eyed blind love for Will and oh boy did I not enjoy Will. I did however like Valentin and Dominic. The story was an overall okay read and wrapped up okay. I just didn’t really enjoy that final twist concerning a certain death and a certain life saved. Overall though, it was an interesting read with a fun take on alchemy and the philosopjer’s stone.

I thoroughly enjoyed these poems. They were relatable and great. I liked it a lot. I liked the exploration of different topics and all I can say is that this is like a fine cup of coffee on a soft sunny morning. It just works and I’m feeling content and happy after reading it.

Well well well. She’s done it again. I AM IN LOVE! I freaking love this book. V.E. Schwab you’ve gotten me to fall in love with another one of your stories and I couldn’t be happier. This is a story of time and the complexity of being remembered and leaving a mark. What it means to be seen. While reading this I felt so many emotions, I understood Addie’s yearning to choose her own life but her fear of not being remembered. I felt Henry’s wanting to be enough and to just be seen and loved. Heck I even loved Luc. This book has so much to offer and I can honestly say reading this was like drinking a fine glass of champagne. It was sparkling, it was wonderful, and it left a warm sensation in my heart. The story goes back and forth between the past and present and changes between Addie and Henry’s POV. I loved the journey of both characters and can I just say that ending had me cackling. I loved the complexity of the relationships between all the characters. Their reasons for their actions and decisions were understandable. This book was like a night sky filled with stars, leaving me in awe and wonder.

This is a modern day twist on Emma by Jane Austen. I was super stoked after reading the premise and couldn’t wait to read this. I absolutely adore Emma. In this version Emma is a coder in highschool who decided to make a match making app in order to win a coding competition, and things go awry from there. In this version Emma is a socially awkward and shy coder who doesn’t understand love but understands math (her words). George knightly is her co-president and friend in coding club. Here’s the thing, I think this book is fine and I mean I’m sure a lot of people could love it, however it just did not work for me. The entire George and Emma situation just did not work for me. I didn’t feel their chemistry and I actually was much more invested in the friendship between Emma and Jane. Overall this book is great if you don’t really care for the original version of the story but I just didn’t like it as much as I wish I could have. If you’re looking for a quirky story about two coders and an app this might be for you!

I thoroughly enjoyed this one! It was a mystery, romance, and fairytale all mixed into one. I really liked the relationships between Lily, Belle, Jack, and Raven. Their bonds and dynamic were great to about. The LGBTQ representation was also a really nice touch that I liked. The mystery and story was just fantastic. It was a gothic mystery with the elements of a fairytale. The story is about how the murder of Lily’s mom sets in motion the reunion between the four people and the past that haunts them. Their relationships are complicated and their all asking if one of them was the murdered. I had a great time reading this and would definitely recommend it.

A wonderful collection of short stories! Each one is it’s own self contained story that is just perfection. I really had a fun time reading them! Something about each of them felt magical and just a little haunting. Definitely go check out this collection!
