This was definitely an interesting ride of a story. A mix of mythologies, vengeful gods, a murder mystery, and one heck of a quest. The story itself was a thrilling ride and I found myself eager to see how the murder mystery was solved. I loved the addition of various mythologies and gods into the story as well as the modern adaptation of them. It was an interesting spin and I found myself really liking the main protagonist Cairn. Cairn is a girl who is just trying to solve the mystery of how her mother died whilst also uncovering that she did not know her mother as well as she thought. Thoroughly interesting story and I highly recommend it for anyone who likes stories that mix mystery and fantasy together. It was a good read and I quite enjoyed it!

This was a cute love story overall. I liked the idea behind the romance and the premise sounded really promising. In the beginning of the book I just couldn’t get into Zoey’s character but she grew on me... and in the beginning I liked Miles but by the end not so much. I liked the way their romance progressed and I found their banter to be cute and funny. I adored Zoey’s relationship with Mary and felt so bad for the horrible restaurant event with her parents. Zoey’s character really grew on me. She’s funny, quirky and strong. The reason my rating of this book isn’t higher is the one big misunderstanding near the end of the book. Miles... oh Miles.... no. Just no. Anyways.... it’s an overall cute romance book and I really enjoyed the first third of it!
Oh my goodness! This was one heck of a story. I can’t say I’ve read a lot of stories about Survivalists or Dooms Day Preppers but oh boy did this story hit for me. I loved the relationship that the three sisters had with one another and I loved getting to know each one of them. This story is about three girls trying to survive after an incident sheds light onto their community and other ensuing issues that arise. The sisterhood in this was great and I genuinely enjoyed the story! It kept me entertained till the very end and I liked the way it wrapped up.

This is a story based on Arthurian Mythology.... and I had really hoped it would have worked out better. I read The Boneless Mercies and enjoyed it enough and was looking forward to reading this one but somehow it just didn’t work as well for me as the previous book. It started out fine but the pacing just wasn’t working for me and I couldn’t find myself connecting with most of the characters or particularly caring for their quest all that much. The main quest of the journey is for the protagonist to rescue her sister yet the story took a very sluggish pasts with so many mini stories interlaced. I just could not connect with the characters by the end of the book and the retelling was not really that much of a retelling. There was no real emotional connection to the characters or that much character input. Sadly I just did not enjoy this book as much as I would have liked.

This is a wonderful Sherlock Holmes retelling! It mixes supernatural elements with the classic cases and also an overall mystery of Jack the Ripper. I absolutely enjoyed this book and would recommend for everyone. I loved the character dynamics between Crow (an angel and our Sherlock) and Doyle (a Doctor and our Watson). It was a compulsory read with a great pace. I liked the flow of the characters and how each case was experienced. This book is as if you’re getting a whole seasons worth of Sherlock mixed with Angels, Vampires, Werewolves, etc + Murder mystery! What more could you ask for?!

I definitely enjoyed this one! I liked how fierce the protagonist was and so freaking determined! I liked the story and though I could do without all the love interests at every corner (though I am routing for you Master of Swords). I liked the storyline and I can’t wait to see what the second book brings! It was fast, thrilling, and you were able to empathize with the protagonists. She was someone who would do anything for the ones she loved, and I love that in a character. The story has thrilling plots and twists and turns. Definitely a fun read!
Oh gosh I really enjoyed this book!!! I adored the first one and missed the school dynamics and of course missed Layla, however I really loved the dynamic between the group outside of school. I enjoyed the story arc and the relationship between Ash and November. The ending was a bit rushed but I liked the overall ending! It was a great read and I wouldn’t mind expanding further on the adventures of November!
