A beautifully and charming book about loving the quirks of your sibling. I absolutely loved the artwork done in this book and found it to be so adorable. The main theme is great and honestly an overall charming read!
This one was a bittersweet read. I didn’t like the first half of it but I actually liked the second half. The format of the story was interesting, showing the possible “what if’s” and than switching to a completely different reality for the second half. I found it to be a interesting read but I just could not enjoy the first half at all. If I’m being honest, Jack and Mikey were big NOs from me and the way she talks just was “meh”, however the second portion was much better. So my overall evaluation is: this is an okay read, if you like bittersweet romances then this would work for you.
This story definitely reminded me of a fairytale but an unfinished one. The story ends on a cliffhanger, and I am curious what happens in the sequel. The characters in this book were okay, and the only person I really found interesting was Kenan. Something about the characters just never really drew me in, however they were all okay. I found the pacing to be fine. An interesting aspect of the story was that Shae, our protagonist, is an unreliable narrator. The world building and magic system was okay and the romance kinda came out of nowhere but that’s fine. Overall this was a okay fantasy read about a girl trying to discover who killed her mother and her secret abilities.
This was a very short and sweet version of Beauty and the Beast. It’s a quick and easy read for kids and the entire story manages to get told. I liked the drawing style too!
Following the story from the previous point but from a different characters pov was a great way to continue the story. I really loved the switching POVS between Lydia and Killian. I really liked the storyline for this one and the pacing was great. It left off with a bit of a cliffhanger making me want to read the next book already. I really enjoyed the writing style and cant wait to see what happens to all the characters in the next book. If I'm being honest I liked this one a lot more than the first one. The characters had more chemistry and the plot was definitely intriguing. Overall I really liked this book series and can't wait to see what happens next!
A cute book on getting “No”s which I found to be funny and sweet. Accepting a little rejection is hard but we all need to and this was a great book on how sometimes we will get lots of “no’s” in our lives but we should always keep trying!
A sweet graphic novel about life after marriage, I adored the perspective of doing simple everyday things with your significant other, but it’s just special to you two. This was sweet, funny, and a charming read!
This was as if I were watching an episode of Criminal Minds. It was a fun read and the constant changing perspectives was a nice touch. It was interesting to see the various povs and thoughts from each character. The main story is simple itself but a fun read overall. It was okay and a good thriller. The ending was fine but I wish there was a bit more. Of all the characters I’d have to say I liked Zoe and Thomas the most. An overall good thriller to pick up for a quick
I absolutely adored “The Escape Room” by Megan and when I found out about this book I was so excited to read it. This was a completely different tone from the previous book. This was much more of a dark court drama mystery and I have a lot of feelings after finishing it. I really liked our protagonist Rachel and liked the format of being able to read between the interchanging views of Rachel and Hannah, and also Rachel’s podcast. Big trigger warning: graphic descriptions and rape. Oh good god, reading this had me equal parts frustrated and angry whole also enthralled. The main themes of this book deals with the treatment of rape victims from society, to within the courtroom, and how just fucking frustrating it is. I felt so much for Kelly and Jenny and what was done to them, the way they were treated, the things they had to endure, the aftermath and everything in between. This was a rough book. It is not for the faint of heart and it’s not some thriller like the first book. It was an excellent story and I can’t wait to see what the author writes next.
