A young girl discovers that she has a secret ability: she can see ghosts! Adèle wants to spend her winter break relaxing and cozying up with a good book. BYet she discovers something strange when she begins to see ghosts... she comes from a family of mediums. Now her winter break is filled with new adventures and people as she gets to know the ghosts around her and what she can do to help them! This was a fun winter read and I think it'll be a great one for the winter month for middlegrade readers. The story was interesting and the artwork was nice!

A mixture of Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz, the story follows a girl who goes on an adventure through a mirror and is transported into a magical imperial Japan! Yuki is forced to move schools and start over, she misses her best friend and isn't having a good time fitting in. When she befriends a shopkeeper at a Japanese antique store the last thing she expects is to fall into a magical mirror and land in a magical imperial Japan! Yuki will now have to find a way back home before it's too late. This was a cute take on the classic story and a fun spin on it. The adventure was nice and I love the touch of magical Imperial Japan in it!

Ramses Howell is a billionaire, a man who prides himself in his achievements and his ability to get what he wants... yet the moment he meets Blake Abbot, he knows he'll do anything to be with her. Blake Abbot is a brilliant and mischievous escort who has prided herself in being able to read men, in being able to win the game and reach her goals. The moment Blake and Ramses meets they both know that they can't stay away from one another. Ramses will have to play Blake's games and see if he can find a way to find out who she really is and if he can break down her guards. Blake has vowed never to fall for a client yet Ramses is different... something about him makes her want to show him parts of herself she's hidden away from everyone. They both can't resist a game or a challenge... but is this really just a game or is it possible that it's more than that and that for the first time they've finally met their match in each other. This was such a good read, I adored how much Ramses and Blake couldn't get enough of each other, how they were so attuned to the other's wants and needs, and how they perfectly fit the other. They are a perfect match, they have amazing chemistry and the care and love they have for each other is both sweet and so so hot. Ramses might be a bit controlling and unhinged but he's in it to win her heart and he'll do anything to prove to her that he's there for the long run and that nothing she does could ever make him not love her. Blake has been through a lot and has her guards up yet something about Ramses keeps drawing her back. I loved this book and had so much fun reading it!!

The bloody and tension filled sequel to Last of the Talons and the second book in the trilogy. The Reaper of Sunpo is presumed dead... and she's back to get revenge... however after her transformation from ingesting poison in the previous book she is changed...and this change has something talking to her in her head, slowly taking over her body and forcing her to fulfill the prophecy that would make her the Empress of All and lead to many bodies dropping and a war impending... not to mention the possibly destruction of the very Emperor she loves. Shin Lina survived and now she is changed, she now has potent Imugi venom in her veins and a voice in her head that is slowly consuming her. All she wants to do is get revenge against all of those who had killed those she cared for. Yet she is slowly losing her mind and herself to a prophecy that foretells her becoming the new Queen of the Imugi and the one to take it all... Then there is Rui, the beautiful Dokkaebi Emperor who loves her, and whom she's discovered is her red string of fate soulmate... but the string of fate works in two ways.. they may be romantic soul mates or mortal enemies.... only time will tell what happens as Lina slowly loses her mind and control of her own body to the prophecy. Can love win or will revenge cost Lina everything and in the end... can Lina and Rui be tied together by love or will it turn into a war neither of them could ever imagine. This was a heartbreaking and tension filled sequel. I loved how the story grew and how Rui and Lina faced off against a new challenge and how this book really shows that there are stakes and prices to be paid when you seek revenge. I am so excited for the finale in the trilogy and how it all ends, I am rooting for Lina and Rui but after the cliffhanger of what happened in this book I am just hoping they get a happy ending. This was such a good book and this series has been an absolute joy to read!

Spoiler Lina begins hearing the Prophecy " a sentient prophecy hell bent on fulfilling itself and taking control of Lina's mind and body". Rui and Lina discover they are soulmates yet with Lina being turned into an Imugi, a Dokkaebi's enemy, can they trust each other. Rui was forced to become the pied piper and kidnap humans for the imugi in order to save his people. Lina is losing herself and can't seem to fight the voice in her head. Rui tries to help her but when one of Lina's enemies kills Eunbi (Lina's beloved little sister) Lina completely gives up and gives the reigns of her mind and body over to the Prophecy. Rui and her do get married before this as Rui needed a way to distract the prophecy controlling Lina while keeping an eye on Lina to make her safe. Rui is determined to save Lina, however Lina is trapped in her own mind now and trying to avoid the grief and lost of her sister. The Prophecy has begun to take over.*

A witty and charming story that is a fresh take on Dracula featuring Greta Helsing, a doctor to the undead who has to figure out who has turned an 11 year old Lucy into a vampire! This was a really cute read and i thought it was such an interesting take. It's got some of the classic characters but with a whole new perspective and the overall story itself was short and sweet. It's a fun time to read and I would absolutely recommend it!

When a historical romance author finds her fiancee cheating on her and immediately goes on a dating podcast... the last thing she expects is to fall for the very snarky (slightly bratty) divorce lawyer. Truly Livingston is a bestselling romance novelist. She's believed to be an expert on happily-ever-afters... except when she walks in on her (ex) fiancee cheating on her, it has her rethinking love. Then she ends up on a dating podcast to give love advice and comes face to face with a gorgeous guy who just happens to be a divorce lawyer and immediately gets under her skin on the podcast. To top it off, Truly finds out that her parents, the people who were the blueprint to why she believes in true love, tell her they are separating. Truly finds her belief in love shaken to the core... and meeting Colin McCory, the one guy who manages to get under her skin yet can't leave her mind, is definitely going to shake up her world. For some reason, bickering with Colin is fun, and when he asks for a fresh start on his sister's podcast after their confrontational first episode together...it begins to turn into something more as they bond over their queerness, their belief in romance, sharing weird facts with each other, and sending each other texts all throughout the day. From coffee shop dates to running into each other at the grocery store, Truly and Colin can't seem to stay away from one another. Yet can Colin convince Truly that she shouldn't close her heart off to love, and can he convince her that he's the one for her? This was a sweet and deeply romantic read, I adored Colin so much. No matter how hard Truly pushed him away, he always supported her and stayed by her side. Colin and Truly were so adorable together and I loved reading their romance. This book was a fun rom com and I loved how both characters were bisexuals. My all time favorite quote from the book that had me tearing up was when Colin and Truly were talking about being Bi and Colin tells her "My point, before I got off on a personal tangent, was that there’s no such thing as being queer enough. Action and attraction are two different things. You could go the rest of your life never dating a woman and it wouldn’t change a thing.” It's a beautiful book and I would absolutely recommend it!
