Enemies to lovers? Snarky banter and even better chemistry? Sign me up. They say hate is just one bump away from love and the fiery flames between Jules Ambrose and Josh Chen could light the world on fire. Jules and Josh are constantly arguing and fighting with each other, they cannot be left in a room for more than two seconds before another fight begins. Jules is Josh’s sister’s best friend and they’re sort of stuck together. Jules is currently studying to pass her bar exam and start a career in law while Josh is focusing on his residency at the hospital. Both Josh and Jules have never believed in having a committed relationship and are both have only ever had casual hookups... and yet when they are forced to go on a ski trip together with Josh’s sister and her boyfriend sparks start flying and soon hatred just might lead to more. Josh proposes they enter into a friends-with-benefits relationship and Jules agrees as long as neither of them fall in love or get jealous of the other. But when Jules’s past comes back to haunt her and Josh must deal with the family drama and friendship drama he has endured over the year these two will have to figure out if they are ready to finally find the other person that they’ve been looking for and if they can overcome all their obstacles. This was the third book in the series and can be read as a standalone, however I would highly recommend reading the other books because they are also just as great!
One girl gets caught counting cards by the owner of the place... and soon the two will find that they are in for more than they ever though, Katya has always worked hard to achieve her goals, she needs money to help pay off her school tuition and help mom move back to Russia. Her biggest flaw? She refuses to ask anyone for help, even if it means she’ll suffer. Angelo has always done whats needed to be done to rule in his world. He doesn’t tolerate less.. and yet when this girl has the audacity to cheat him out of his money and flirt with him? He can’t help but find her charming. Soon Katya and Angelo find themselves circling around each other, but other forces are at work and loyalties will be tested. They’ll have to see if they have what it takes to make it out together.
A beautiful Arthurian story with a queer protagonist. This was definitely an interesting story, it follows the story of a girl who has only ever known her mother.. but her thirst for her path leads her into the world and as she grows she begins to meet new people, go on a life changing quest, meet her love, and discover who she is amongst Arthur’s court. It all starts when she gets a name for herself and discovers a dead body.. and soon she begins her journey with a hunting spear and mended armor, she will become an unforgettable hero and follow her birth path. I always appreciate a new spin on classic stories and finding one that is well written and with a queer main character? Amazing! I would definitely recommend this for anyone who enjoys new takes on classics and who want to find something new and enjoy Arthurian stories

moon girl, a masked boy, a curse, and a forbidden love story. Fallon has moved back into the town her father has kept her away from all her life when she receives news that her grandfather’s health is declining and the moment she steps foot into this strange town she begins to notice things are a bit odd here... considering there are boys walking around in masks. The masked boys are part of a witch coven and are cursed, they are known as the Hollow Heathens and anyone who sees their face will look at their worst fear and could possibly die. However, Fallon and Julian can’t seem to stay away from one another. they are drawn to their connection. Julian must decide if he will side with his coven or side with the girl who has offered him a moment of peace and calm in the chaos and storm that is his life, the one girl who shines like the moon in his darkness. Fallon is still discovering the town’s secrets and with covens trying to force her to join them and a mysterious boy who plays hot and cold with her, she’ll have to decide where she wants to go and who she will pick. Two people who were not suppose to be together. a forbidden love story, and a curse that could destroy them all. This was an interesting read and I enjoyed the magic and romance in it. I do love a good witchy town story and the romance between Fallon and Julian is quite sweet.
A girl who is invisible.... literally. Pie and her mother have always been invisible, transparent and are only able to see each other. They come and go, they live in your house almost like ghosts and the only way to even see them a little bit is by using infrared. Pie is lonely. She wants more, she wants to be seen, to be known, not to always be invisible. When her mother starts to become invisible to even Pie she begins to worry. After they came back to Pittsburgh, a place they use to live in, where there was a girl Pie fell in love with lives... Pie once again finds herself seeking that girl out. What Pie finds though is new friends, understanding what it means to be seen. and what it means to love a girl who is invisible. This was a pretty sweet story about finding love and friendship when you only see yourself as being invisible. I loved the idea that there are people out there who are completely invisible but still find a way to live. It’s definitely a unique take on a sort of ghost story.

A new modern dark romance take on the classic characters of Captain Hook and Wendy Darling. James Barrie “Hook” has wanted one thing and that is to get revenge against the man who destroyed his life and took away his family... and that man is Peter. When Peter’s daughter Wendy walks into the bar that James owns... its like fate has just opened up an opportunity for him. But when real feelings start to seep into the act and betrayals from those closest to him arise, James will have to see who he can truly trust and if loving the one person who he shouldn’t fall in love with will be enough.. and if she can forgive him for the pain he will cause her. Wendy has been sheltered all her life, and when she decides to go out with her friends she accidentally runs into James. James is charming, persistent, and dangerous and Wendy can’t get enough. But when his real motives come to light, when his other side comes out... Wendy will have to see if she can love the man behind the monster and if he really is the one for her. James wants revenge against Peter and what better way to get it than to steal Peter’s precious daughter... but soon James will have to see if he can resist actually falling in love with her. This was a unique twist on the peter pan romance story and yes its dark romance, but I enjoyed it overall.
A new dark romance take on The Lion King. A scarred prince who wants to rebel against his brother, a vicious princess hellbent on getting revenge against the man who murdered her father, an arranged marriage, and a forbidden romance. Tristan was the scarred prince, the one people never took seriously, the outcast in his own home. Beaten by his brother and thought of as a joke by people... yet hes ben bidding his time.. waiting and plotting to rebel against his brother in order to avenge his brother and to finally take back the throne that is rightfully his. Sara B. is the princess that is sent to be Tristan’s brother’s new wife, she is to be the wife consort.... yet she’s been waiting and training ever since she found out her father was murdered by him in order to finally get her revenge. First she will win his trust then she will burn his kingdom to the ground. Sara and Tristan both are playing at political games and hiding behind their masks... yet whenever they run into each other they can’t help but want to get a rise out of the other and can’t seem to keep their eyes off of each other. With a rebellion on the horizon, with Tristan’s brother become more mad thinking he is being haunted with ghosts and with Sara and Tristan both vying to meet their own goals while fighting the attraction between each other, it’s going to be one bloody hell of a time. When I say I absolutely fell in love with this book I MEAN IT. I love just how volatile and vicious both Sara and Tristan are, they truly embody enemies to lovers and I LOVE IT. This was such a fun take on the Lion King/ Hamlet story and it was just so good. This is the second book in the Never After series but the stories are all standalone and this one absolutely outshined the first book in my opinion.
A dark fairytale mixed in with contemporary elements. In the town of Black Hollow there is a dark secret... there is a mystical figure known as the Dreamwalker that will lure young women into the woods and possess them... but when young girls start going missing and only returning as dead bodies... things start getting weird. Kai, a loner who can also turn into a wolf, is being haunted by an evil spirit. He constantly wakes up next to the dead bodies of the missing girl but he knows for sure that every time he goes to help them he passes out with no memory of what has happened. Miya is a university student who is failing but when she finds one of the missing girls and runs into Kai her life starts going off path. Soon Kai and Miya find themselves constantly drawn to the other and must figure out who is killing these girls and who will be the Deamwalker’s next victim. Throw in a very curious oncologist named Mason who is hellbent on debunking the town’s superstitions suddenly finding his sanity tested when he bumps into Kai and Miya and the mystical beings surrounding them. This was definitely an interesting read and I enjoyed the fairytale-esque feel to the story.
The story of the Dreamwalker and her wolf continues... three years after the events of the first book and Miya and Kai are tethered together, whether they want to be or not. Miya is new to her abilities and is seeking a way to break the tether that has trapped her and Kai together while Kai has to suffer the consequences of never being able to go anywhere or feel things the way he use to without having Miya be present... but beyond that more nefarious things are at play... and a dark bloody history is about to unravel... the cycle repeats itself and its up to Miya and Kai to see if they are able to break it and remain true to their love... or be another victim of the cycle again. This was a fun ending to the duology and I loved the folktale esque style of the story filled with lots of macarbe and romance. Definitely give it a read!
