A AMAZING STORY. ABSOLUTELY HEARTWARMING AND SO PRECIOUS. A MUST READ! This is a beautiful story about a little girl named Ayesha attending her cousins wedding, however not everyone is happy that her cousin Ritu is marrying her girlfriend Chandni. It’s up to Ayesha to save the day! The story teaches kids to stand up against prejudice and bigotry and is a powerful message. I would 100% recommend this for everyone, especially young kids!

A beautiful story about a spunky girl and her adventure in the woods. Looking to find some peace and quiet she heads off to her favorite place and even meets a surprise friend. A gorgeously illustrated story, I completely fell in love with the artwork! This is a great read and definitely just brings about a sense of serenity and makes you want to go out on your own adventure.

A gorgeous and emotional graphic novel. This was such a unique and relatable read. The story takes you through the various shifting moods that happen with the changing seasons, and I found I connected with this so much. It talks about the stages of joy, anxiety, depression, tiredness, and every emotion that shifts with the seasons. The artwork is absolutely phenomenal and I couldn’t begin to recommend this book enough! Please give it a read!!!

A fun interactive book perfect for the holidays!!! Try and cheer up a cranky dog with this fun book! This would make a great read for kids! Interactive and holiday themed, perfect for any elf this christmas!

A sweet and thoughtful story! The artwork is charming and the story itself is equally sweet! A perfect read for a cozy day. This is a great read for kids, as it tells them that it’s okay to asks questions, and that being curious is great!

A gorgeous and fun story! I had a blast reading this book! I was initially drawn in by the fact that this book is perfect for fans of Wes Anderson ( and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou). I have always loved Anderson’s movies and the stylish way he makes them. This book is right up that alley! Gorgeous colors, fun layouts, and honestly just a charming story about exploring the sea. I think kids will have a lot of fun learning about sea creatures and plants in this book while going on a journey!

“Don’t trust what anyone tells you. A girl should always go with her gut.”

Nothing says a great read like a gothic story filled with mysterious, a haunted house, dead girls, and a troubled protagonists. Told as a modern day Rebecca retelling, it absolutely hits the mark for me! The story revolves around Bram, banished from Manhattan after an incident that “tarnished” her reputation, and has been moved to live with her uncle in the town of Louth in his mansion. The only catch? The house she’s staying at has a history of girls dying and being haunted. Bram has been haunted her entire life, after the incident in which she witnessed her father and aunt (Jame’s first wife) die, their dead bodies have been etched into her memory. She was the one who found the bodies when she was 12 years old and ever since then has been on a never ending journey between drugs and rehab to try and stop seeing the bodies. However, after getting out of rehab and enrolling into a new school, an incident occurs that has people not believing her side of the story no matter what she says. She finds the mystery of her uncle Jame’s tragedy, in which apparently his step daughter set fire to the mansions and his new wife(second wife) died in the fire. Something seems off about the story and Bram sets out to prove the truth, to prove Lark’s truth and ends up in a whole new dangerous mystery with more dead girls than she bargained for. Strange noises echo across the house at night and Bram keeps seeing a mysterious girl in white roaming and moving the furniture in her room. The town is completely hostile to Bram and her uncle is not who she remembered him being (she adored him as kid) and Bram only has her own wits to help her solve this mystery as she soon finds that her own life is on the line. This story was everything I could ever ask for! Bram was a great protagonists and stuck by her guts even though everything made her think she might be crazy. I do like a protagonists who appears to be an unreliable narrator but doesn’t waver from their stance. The mystery was intriguing and definitely a whirlwind. I would highly recommend this read for anyone looking for an interesting mystery or a gothic read by the fireplace!

I will definitely be doing some research on Nellie Bly. Sadly I could only read the first few pages because of the digital copy I received. Though I did read through the graphic novel by just looking at the fantastic artwork. I can't wait to find a finished copy and read more about it!

Disney Villains meets Gotham? Sign me up!.......unfortunately this book did not meet the expectations I had. The story is based around Mary Elizabeth Heart, an intern at a police department, her criminal boyfriend James (aka Captain Hook), her missing best friend Ursula, and the other missing girl Mally (Maleficent). This story is essentially a police procedural mystery mixed with Disney Villain origin stories. The biggest issue I had was the way the story was told, it was definitely more explained then show, and it got a bit off putting the more I read. I stuck through the book because it has all the elements I normally love and I was determined to see it to the end. The entire magic system, world building, class system, just was a mess and honestly they really throw you in with so much explaining in the first few chapters. The story is advertised as “dark and edgy YA” but it honestly comes off more like a middle grade book with splashes of a little bit of cursing and a little bit of romance, but it definitely is not as “gritty” as I initially thought it would be. The thing about this is, the entire plot and world has so much potential, you could definitely make this an amazing gritty dark mystery with magic, but it came off more juvenile than I had anticipated. Mary is struggling to deal with her identity as part of the Legacy, also known as the “bad” kids ( aka families in the world who use to have magic, so think of essentially the big characters, in her case, I’m assuming Queen of Hearts), and her ambition to be a police officer. Her character has a tragic past , definitely like Dick Grayson more than Bruce Wayne vibes I got from her. She’s trying to solve a mystery and along the way finds that things are not what they seem and the mystery is bigger than even her. The plot is okay and the mystery was fine, I just felt that Mary was a bit juvenile for her supposed age and occupation, and found some of her decisions “meh”. Overall, this book was okay, but it could have been so much more. I’d definitely recommend it for readers who are about 12-15 age group. The book ends on a cliffhanger as this is the first book in the series, but the initial mystery is solved by the end of the first book. If your a fan of Disney’s Descedants or any kind of Disney reimagining this could definitely be up your alley, so give it a try!
