the only redeeming part of this book is ralph.
sophie is a manipulative asshole.
annie is a self centered alcoholic.
nothing about this was dark, funny, or frightening.

I don’t understand why after 29 books of the same relationship dilemma, we get a cliff hanger of *that*.
the books are formulaic, and while this is a bit different but still maintains the formula. more FTAs. more broken cars and exploding apartments. more Stephanie getting in over her head. Bob is truly the show stealer this time.
are we actually going to see progress in Stephanie Plum? her hamster can only be the same age for so long.

the only good part of this book was the sausage dog.
it’s like someone tried to make a relatable millennial as the main character but only knows what millennials are because of buzzfeed and think pieces trashing us. as the kids would say (maybe, i’m old), it was super cringe.

the main character is the epitome of “okay, boomer”

i so badly wanted to like this book. the audiobook narration was not my vibe so i switched to reading myself and still gave up at 30%.
the description sounds great! but the book is just….not.

this is exactly what you expect from this series. a lil spice, some magic, witches, and a mystery. a cute easy read if you’re into this genre!
