A lot of stuff I already knew (which isn’t the books fault). That said, I don’t know if it was just the audiobook, but I didn’t care for the style.
They shifted the focus away from Miranda and Alex. Jon is now the focus and our narrator, who's the equivalent of a spoiled rich kid that rapes and abuses people. It's fucking disgusting and I'm sad to have even started this book.
Very cis-centric and somehow still pretty obvious stuff for anyone who has the 101 on body appreciation.
Everyone is in love with this book, and I just didn’t see it. It felt dense to the point of unenjoyable impenetrability. 🤷🏼♀️
I wish I'd known that this book is basically a zombie novel :/
The story is told through a series of interviews, which makes the world very flat.
