I received Nestlings by Nat Cassidy (@catnassidy ) via NetGalley.

I was a huge fan of Mary:An Awakening Of Terror, so when I saw this pop up in my NetGalley feed I jumped on it so fast. And I thankfully got approved

This book was amazing. At a mere 90 pages it manages to unpack a lot. I flew through this book in one sitting. It’s fast paced and beautifully written. Definitely gave me Misery and Psycho vibes.

A perfect spooky read. This retelling of Poe’s “The Fall of The House of Usher” is an atomospheric, gothic read sure to haunt your dreams.

When Alex Easton receives word that an old childhood friend has fallen ill, they rush to the old manor of The Ushers. Alex finds the manor in rough shape. Odd things are happening. Both inside and outside the house.

This was a quick read filled with some terrifying moments. I may see some hares in my dreams tonight. Mushroom horror seems to be a rising trend at the moment and I’m all for it.

If you enjoyed Mexican Gothic, you’ll enjoy What Moves The Dead.

This book is perfect for fans of The Descent mixed with a bit of spacey Sci fi.

It features cave monsters, hallucinations, and claustrophobia.

The pacing was a bit slow for me and I felt like the fighting between the two characters became repetitive over time.

The book started out strong but lost my interest half way through. I still needed to finish to see what happened to the main character.

This book is a cute, cozy mystery with a quirky character.

This book gave me Vivarium vibes.

A perfect neighborhood and relationship harbors some dark secrets in this book. While not spooky, there were some unsettling scenes.

This book is so hard to rate. It definitely leaves you wondering what the heck is going on the entire time. I really loved all the twists.

An emotional and beautifully written book focusing on a mother's grief and what she will do to protect him, even after death.
