This unfinished draft of what would have been a five-part novel stole my heart.
A tour de force.

I admit stream of consciousness is a mode I struggle with but there's so much to take in in this 'plotless' book, I can see myself reading it again and getting different things out of it. Not to mention Woolf's masterful prose writing: each chapter was penned with exceptional style and grace. It was a delight to visit the inner workings of her characters' minds through such beautiful prose.

When I first started reading "The Heart's Invisible Furies" I had no idea of how much it would endear itself to me. I cannot write a review that would do it justice. All I can say is that I cannot remember the last time I was so taken with a main character, and that after finishing the book, my heart feels full.
