SOOOO cozy. 

Surprisingly I think this would fit better for the spring but it’s got the cozy vibes you long for in the fall just the same.

So glad book club decided to read this before seeing the movie. 

The time at Shiz was my favorite part. I love getting more from the classic characters and also meeting new characters that influenced Glinda and Elphaba. They really did Boq sooo dirty in the musical. I can't wait to see his arc in the movie.

I’ve never read a silly romance quicker. This was the perfect end to summer book and beach read. I will definitely pick up Jo Segura’s next book, what a great debut. 

Like many others, I pictured my own summer camp I attended while reading this. I’m glad I got this in during the last few days of summer. 

I listened to this which was difficult considering the time jumps and different povs. I had to rewind quite a bit but it was such a compelling story with great female characters.

I LOVE these characters so much. I will say it again but this is if Percy Jackson was written in 2024 and super gay. What’s better than that???

The plot of book one is pretty hard to beat and I think that hurt my rating of this one. This picks up right where the first left off and then follows both Teo and Xio as they navigate the aftermath. There is a great sense of adventure and I loved the shared pov but it felt a little simple. However, the ending again had a great twist. I can’t wait to see how book three, if there is one, will continue the story. 

I will forever root for Aiden Thomas!

What a wonderful palette cleanser for this crazy time in American politics. This was informative and hilarious. I was genuinely laughing out loud.

I first got introduced to Pod Save America in a very ironic way. I was studying abroad in London for a semester in college in 2019 and a theatre professor of mine recommended this political podcast created by Obama staffers. She said it really helped her stay up to date with American politics which she found to be important because of Trump's influence on the rest of the world. I was so distraught after the 2016 election and had really tried to tune out political news. But after this professor talked about PSA in class, I thought that if she, a British woman, was paying this close attention to the American political climate, then it was my duty to do the same. So I started listening to PSA on the tube.

Anyone who knows me has probably heard me mention Pod Save America at least once. It is the only form of political news and analysis that brings me any kind of joy and it has turned me into the political activist I am today. The "Pod Bros" have created this smart, positive, hilarious podcast that brings you news without wanting to jump into a river after hearing it. They also work their asses off to get democrats elected. I genuinely credit a huge part of the success in the 2020 election to their work with Vote Save America. They just don't quit. Let's do it again in 2024.

solely because this book just really isn’t for me. i’m really not into fantasy novels centering war or battle, especially from a mmc. 

i understand why people like this but i just wanted to move on to something i’ll enjoy more.
