This is a really fun book that reads almost like a TV show. There are a few issues with the translation, but nothing that will ruin the story for you. Unfortunately, the fast-paced storytelling end up preventing much real character development from happening. Most of the main character's personality is just told to the reader directly.
It's ok. I think there is a lot that will appeal to people who like Lara Croft and the recent Tomb Raider games. The reader can see what it is like for Lara and Sam after the first game, but only a little. Sam isn't present for most of the book, and most of what Lara learned during that game has little to no impact on her adventure.
The plot is a bit nonsensical and erratic and in the end, it feels like there was little value to this book. The ending feels a bit rushed. The book probably could have been another 100 pages longer and it would have greatly improved it.
