Jeffrey Brown does it again, and like every time that I read his work, it makes me want to re-read his other works. Brown is somehow able to isolate individual events in his life that, while seemingly inconsequential, fit together to make a larger picture of his life and thoughts. I'm excited for his next book!

One of the best Batman stories out there. Many comics try to string long stories along several issues, but tend to read awkwardly because of the monthly issue problem. The Long Halloween does not have that problem and it reads as if it were intended to be read in this form to begin with.
I will say that I was not always a big fan of the art. For instance, Catwoman hardly looked human sometimes, and even through her costume, her abs are extremely well-defined. Occasionally I would confuse some characters with others, but the overall atmosphere of the book worked with the story.
