I've never read anything by Bradbury, but I really enjoyed all of the stories. I didn't really like some of the art, but all of it did a good job of making sure that the story was the important part.
This was an interesting book, but there wasn't much of value in any of the stories and most of the art was terrible. I would only suggest this to people who are huge Harley or Ivy fans.
A New Hope
I would not say that George Lucas is an excellent writer. He has a bad habit of slowing down the slow sections by adding more description. This book is nearly a word-for-word transcription of the movie, with a few extras added in here and there. If you are a fan of the movie, it is worth your time to read, if you have nothing better to do.
The Empire Strikes Back
This book has its good and bad parts, just like the first one. I would say that I like this writer's prose better, although the author does have a few awkward phrases here and there. Empire, as far as I could tell, was almost a completely literal transcription of the movie, and I wouldn't suggest reading it if you just want to watch the movie.
Return of the Jedi
The prose in this book is the worst of the three. It isn't all awful, there are just a handful of sentences that are awful. The action scenes at the beginning of the story are very exciting, but after that, the book seems like one big wind-down. I would almost skip this one altogether, if it weren't that it does complete the trilogy.
