This book was just a wonderful read. I wondered, in the beginning, why some people were being introduced and their stories being told as they didn't seem to fit. Helene really took care in crafting the story, and what you learned about characters other than the Golem and Jinni, really helped with their portion of the overall story. Little pieces here and there, which when they all came together, just were amazing. I can't wait to read the next one when it comes out.
A fun short book of short stories. I really liked the title story the most I think. I did not see the ending coming.
This book tells the story of a young girl who was saved from drowning by a ghost boy, and what follows after that fateful experience. I love ghost stories (real or fiction) and this was a fun read. Cassidy is the daughter of 2 ghost hunters who goes on a trip to Scotland for their search of ghosts, and finds a lot more than she bargained for.
The story was engaging and painted a wonderful picture of what real life vs The Vail looked like. I would gladly have my kid read this when she gets old enough.

What a cute quick read. I did enjoy the stories about his own dogs through life. Because that's what life is. A series of dogs.
