Even though I know this book actually did it FIRST, it felt too much like a Six of Crows x Red Rising attempt. Which would have been fine if the characters had endeared me… But perhaps for another time

At times oddly homophobic and in need of a update on issues of consent, considering this book a product of its time, I blew through it in an effort to see just what would happen to two Americans in London. I think I’ll adopt the Fido metaphor as well

Definitely a filler book for Miss Maas to kill time in between installments. Sweet, but sickly so at times. Also was first-person for Rhys and Feyre and third-person for everyone else intentional? Confusing and jarring. Also everyone besides Rhys and Feyre lacked depth and believablilty. Stick with what you know, Ms Maas. Just include this book in the next installment.

Banger. A book couple I didn’t know I needed and a plot that I didn’t even think to guess

Perhaps oddly paced and underdeveloped at times, but overall loveable and lose-yourself-able.

I have a hard time reading books whose main characters I can’t relate to, and I simply couldn’t relate to the audacity and unbothered-ness of the main character as she ends up in increasingly anxiety-inducing situations LOL
