I don't really know what to say.
I think there should be no problem with this kind of incest as long as they don't deliberately plan on making children. I mean if they both want it and love each other why criminalize them. As long as it is not rape there is no reason to act so extremely. I think I have heard of several cases where Brothers and Sisters love each other and live in a relationship. I don't know, other than the fact that there should be no physical offspring, why can't a brother and a sister love each other? Who would be in a position to force them apart? There are a lot of countries where incest is not a crime: Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Turkey, Japan, Argentina, Brasil, and several other Latin-American states.

I have heard of a case here in Germany which resulted in a debate whether it is right to criminalize this. There is still no final result. One party wants to legalize consented incest and the other doesn't. Well, in this case, they have 3 children and I understand the repulsion: every child, of course, having mental and physical disabilities. I wish they had adopted and saved children. But can we really decide any of this for them?...

I'm just so heartbroken now and I just can't... This book just leaves me wondering if the world is still not far enough?...
