this was actually pretty fun and cute. i can see a lot of potential for mature discussions, let's hope they take advantage of that. oh and I dunno why but I LOVE the character design for the MC, it's so rare to see children especially girls being drawn as not sticks for some reason.

one of the best representations of muslims in books so far. felt so real to the time we're living and i related to Nida a lot, although of course she had it harder. i think this should be something that also teens should read so they let go of their prejudices and learn more about islamophobia, colonialism and racism. wish i paid a bit more attention to the audiobook myself...

i LOVE YOU Holly Jackson!!! i wish we were friends because i LOVE the way your brain works and writes. all your MCs are just so real. and this one was so ADHD I loved her. it was so trippy having a MC that doesn't let us know what's on her head much either, it was sooo fun. the ending messed me up though, you witch make me cry like that and for what? lol. cant wait for more of her books to come out and devour them, i have finished EVERY SINGLE one of them in one sitting. like they're all so good i can't do anything else but finish reading them! GENIUS

i think this volume is finished with teh 100th chapter right?
regardless I LOVED the Martha/Henry arc. OmG Endo really knows how to pull the heart strings and make such insanely believable backstories. I love how anti war SpyxFamily is. i read this series to escape reality but instead i end up crying because it's real... i love it soo much

10/10 graphic novel trilogy. i want more from the artist and writer. it's such an obvious story of colonization and how it links to basically ruining the land and nature. i love that so much, very important for kids to learn that. the characters are all great. i liked the new mapmaker's design, she's so pretty and cute. oh and when other mapmakers around the world showed up and one of them was a hijabi, i squealed with happiness. i feel like a kid when i see myself represented in a place that isn't necessarily expected but soo needed. i think the ending was pretty satisfying although
I wanted to know what happened to the evil boss/colonizer and to the constable. it felt a bit rushed.
Lewis was definitely my favorite, he's just so cute and relatable and i loved that the writer gave him such importance in the end. would buy physical copies of teh graphic novels when i have the money for sure. oh and i just saw that it's recommended to ATLA fans, i will say 100% agree as a die hard fan, it scratches the same itch lol.

i just love this trilogy so much, the art style is just so adorable i wanna eat it. and the characters and the story is sooo good

i enjoyed this, felt very much a story about colonization and preserving your indigenous culture and land

found it way more fun to learn with comics than regular textbooks

i think i and Holly just click, everything she writes I devour and LOVE it! this one was just soo good, so twisty, I had some theories but many stuff I didn;t expect, I found Bel to be a very unique character and I liked her psyche she felt very realistic of a kid/teen with abandonment issues. everything about this book was mwah and loved the ending

pretty well-researched and mind-opening we really need to do better and its ridiculous we women are so sidelined in this age!!!
