the fact that book was said to be a love or hate situation didn't help me get into it. and the blurb defo made me not want to read it but bus it was a coho so I did(hate coho love the books tho). it was absouloutly amazing. the drowning scene completely moved me. I wasn't expecting the ending or any of the twists really. I can see why people might not like the paranormal aspect but I loved it.
