Beautiful imagery and a delight for the senses

I’m not a huge fan of Disney retellings, but this one stole my heart! This is “The Little Mermaid” with a sexy and adventurous twist. I enjoyed it so much that I will have to read it again!

This book started off really strong, but I lost interest after the main character was written out of most of the ladder half.

Such an entertaining, easy, and magical read. The movie is my absolute favorite so of course I had to read the book, and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be reading this again in the future!

Incredible world building and fascinating characters. It also deals with important themes such as prejudice and unlearning the lies ingrained within you. I will definitely be reading this again and can’t wait for the rest of the series.

I was worried this would be a slow read, but I was proven wrong. Being transported into Kvothe’s adventure was riveting and delightful. I also really enjoyed the unique way the story was told. An absolute classic of fantasy!
