I didn't read the first instalment in this series so I didn't know what to expect.
At the beginning some elements made me think of Katherine Kurtz Lammas Night but when the plot started to unravel I couldn't help appreciating the originality and how enthralling it was.
It was a great read, fascinating and engaging.
I liked the world building and I liked the mix of history and fiction.
The book is well written and the characters are well developed. I liked the heroine even if there're a lot of similarities.
I look forward to reading the next instalment in this series and will surely read the previous installment.

I'm a fan of this series and I think it improved with every new installment.
This book started slow but after some chapter you're involved and you cannot put the book down.
The plot was engaging, I loved the idea of the cold case that involves Aunt Abby and her high school year.
It was great meeting again the cast of characters and reading about the changes in their life.
Maralee is a wonderful characters as all the others. I have a soft spot for O'Ryan and I liked his antics.
The mystery was full of twists and turns and, even if it was not hard to spot the culprit, it kept me hooked till the last page.
I look forward to reading the next installment.

I read this book while petting my cat. I think this book is perfect for cat lovers.
It's entertaining and fun to read and you can identify yourself in a lot of pages.
