When I requested this book I was interested in "The Lady in the Van" part as I love Alan Bennett.
Even if the plot is different, it met all my expectations as it's an amazing read.
It moves you and entertain at same time. The style of writing is great and the plot keeps you hooked till the end.
It's a lot of food for thought and makes you think about your life and what it means living.
A very good novel, I look forward to reading other by this author.
Highly recommended!

A lovely cozy, well written and entertaining. I liked to read how Florrie is becoming stronger and more indipendent.

I'm in two minds about this book: on one side it's well written and with an interesting theme, on the other side it was slow and it seemed nothing happened for a long time.
I appreciated the style of writing, the description of world of art and the basic idea. On the other side it sometimes bored me and it was hard to read till the last page.
I suppose my expectations were too high but I felt like it failed to deliver.

What an amazing and heartwarming book. I loved it and was sad when it ended.
I loved the style of writing, the characters. The plot was engaging and entertaining, full of wonder and tenderness.
I will surely look for other books by this author.

I love this series and was very happy when this book was approved.
I'm in two minds about this book because I liked it but there was somehow slower and more repetitive than the other instalments.
The style of writing was as good as usual, the cast of characters lovely but the plot was a bit loose and ripetitive, after the nth time I read that Jessy was a good kid and she had a bad week I wanted to shout.
The ending was a bit rushed, it came as a surprise but it was sort of "here's the culprit".
I look forward to reading the next instalment that will surely be a great book.
Recommended to people who already read the other books in this series.

I requested this book because I was attracted by the beautiful cover and the author.
It is amazing, I read one story at a time and I liked them all.
The book is beautifully written and it's a great Christmas book, not the usual fluffy and feel-good one.
Some stories are creepier and some are sweet, all of them show a different aspect of Christmas.
The recipes are great and I'm curious to try them as they give ideas for cooking Christmas food for pleasure more than for show.
A wonderful book, a real treat that gives you back the pleasure of reading a well written and great book.
