I never read any book by Tamora Pierce before and this was a wonderful discovery.
Everything was fresh, exciting and fascinating. I was enthralled and couldn't put this book down.
The world building is exceptional, the plot very good and the characters were well developed.
I'm so happy I could read this ARC and look forward to reading the next instalment in this series.
I will surely look for the other books with the same characters as I really liked them.

I love the Mainely Needlepoint Mystery series and think that any book is better than the previous one.
This one was fantastic, darker than the other and more psychological than the average cozy.
The plot is great, claustrophobic and atmospheric at times. The style of writing's perfect and make you feel the sense of oppression and the fear of Angie, the main character.
It was nice to meet again the cast of characters even if some of them were on the background this time.
I look forward to reading the next instalment.

It's the first book I read in this series and it was love at first page read.
I loved everything it this book: the style of writing, the strong female characters, the well researched historical background and the plot.
I love how it describes the female condition and the political background mixing them in the main plot and never being boring.
I look forward to reading the next instalment and will surely look for the previous books.

One note: I think that in order to really appreciate this book you must have read the trilogy.

I love the All Soul trilogy and danced happily when I got this ARC.
It took a chapter and I was hooked and happy to be back in the All Soul world.
I loved to meet Diana and Matthew children and to meet old and new characters.
The historical part was good but I preferred the parts featuring Diana/Matthew/etc and Phoebe.
Highly recommended!

I loved everything in this book: the style of writing, Nuri Bey and the cast of characters, and the descriptions of my beloved Istanbul.
Istanbul was the reason for requiring this book and I'm very happy I did.
This book's poetic, atmospheric and entralling..
