The world building is amazing, the cast of characters is fleshed out and larger than life, the plot is engrossing and entertaining.

This is the first instalment I read in this series and I'm happy I got this ARC because it's an engrossing and entertaining read.
The lovely setting, the great and likeable cast of characters and the solid mystery made me love this story that I read as fast as I could.
The mystery is well crafted and the solution came as a surprise.
I appreciated the friendship amongst the characters, and Lena, an interesting MC who is never tempted to do anything stupid.
I can't wait for the next instalment and I'll surely read the previous stories.

I loved the first book int this series and I loved this one.
It's a great story that reminds the stories of the Golden Age: the manor, a group of guests, a series of murders, secrets and investigations.
Kitty and Matt are two great characters and I'm rooting for them and hoping that their relationships goes on.
The historical background is well researched and vivid, the cast of characters well thought and likable.
The mystery is solid, full of red herring and twists, and it kept me guessing till the end.
I can't wait for the next instalment and found this one an entertaining and engrossing read.

I think this is an excellent cozy mystery with all my favorite tropes of a cozy: a bookstore, small town and a pet (a puppy in this case) and an old lady that helps the MC.
We are used to cozy mystery featuring a female MC but I must say that Ellery, the male MC, is a likeable, interesting and funny character, well thought and somewhat clumsy.
I love him as much as I loved the fleshed out and likeable cast of characters.
The mystery is solid, full of twists and turns, and the solution came as a surprise.
After reading this story and loving it i already preordered the next instalment.
It was an engrossing and fun read, I read in two setting and found it very enjoyable.
