An interesting and fun to read book about paranormal and crime investigations.
It's well written and I liked the different stories about unusual or paranormal occurrences.
Recommended if you like ghost and paranormal stories.

I read the Letter from Prison and other works of Bonhoeffer so I was curious about this book.
According to what I read and seeing how populism works I wanted to know how this thinker could be turned into a populist.
This book gave a lot of answers and a lot of food for thought about both Bonhoeffer and populism.
I appreciated the clarity of exposition and how deep the writer know Bonhoeffer.
A very interesting book that I highly recommend.

I hope that this book is the beginning of a series because it ends keeping you guessing what's next.
I love the complex world building, the fantastic cast of characters and the enthralling plot.
The characters were well developed, real human being and not simple archetypes.
There's some awkwardness but it can be expected in the first book in a series.
I cannot wait to read the next instalment as I really liked this one.

This is a great cozy mystery and it was a lot of fun to read ,
The plot is great, the cast of characters very likeable and the mystery kept me guessing till the end.
I love the topic of abuse of children in forster system and the how the relationships amongst the characters were developed.
There's a lot of humanity and tenderness as well as humour and fun. Trouble the cat was lovely and the rabbit was a great addition.
I look forward to reading the next instalment in this series.

Even if this the account of a true crime this book can be read like a murder.
The title can be misleading as there's just a tenuous link to Conan Doyle but it's well researched and gives a complete picture of who the victim was and how lived and of the general historical environment.
A fascinating read that I recommend.

I loved this book as much as I loved other by Clea Simon.
I found it atmospheric, dark and poetic at the same time.
I loved the way Blackie, the cat, and Care, the girl, were and the mystery part was really good.
It was the first I read in this series and it starts a slow, dreamy way but you keep on turning pages to see what will happen.

What a lovely book. A nice historical mystery that made me think of the Golden Age books with a dash of hard boiled.
The plot is character driven and enthralling, keeping you guessing till the end.
I loved how the different characters were written and their quirks and stories.
It's the first one I read in this series and will surely get the previous instalments and look forward to reading the next one.

It's a bit slow at the beginning but once it gets going it's a real page turner.
It's full of twists and turn and never bores.

It's more violent and packed of action than the usual book about werewolves.
