I usually really like Denise Swansons' mystery but I had some problems with this one.
Even if it is well written and with a sound plot it lacked the humour present in her other mystery.
I also did not like very much the main charachter, too serious and very professional woman.
It is a good cozy but not my cup of tea.

I grew up in the 80 and was very excited when I was approved for this book.
Wonderful pictures, interesting articles on well and less known musicians.
It was so good to meet again some names I did not heard in a long time.
I loved it.

I'm still reading the book but it is so good that I want to review it now.
A wonderful mix of alternative history, fantasy, and some steampunk in between. The mix works wonderfully and the book hooked since the beginning and kept me calling back to keep on reading.
I am sure this will be one of those books you're sad to end.

This is the first book in a new series and I was quite curious about it as Krista Davis is one my favourite cozy authors.
It is a mystery and It is also the history of the travel of the heroine from being a spineless and mousy character to a woman with flair and sassy.
On a general level it is quite a good mystery, interesting cast of characters and really well written.
On the other side I hope that in next instalment there will be less hyper-anxious parents and more the Washington characters.
I am curious about the next instalment as I want to see where the heroine evolution will bring her.

A good book with a good mystery and story about growing, mending fences, and healing.
A librarian, a cat and a town full of secrets where a lot of people are not what they seem.
The mystery is well written, no plot hole and sometimes takes the backseat to the more human side side of the story: the one about family relationship, healing, accepting to love and to be loved.
The cast of characters is really interesting and, even if there's a previous book, I had no problem in understanding their relationship and the ongoing developments.

The paranormal element is not prominent, just another character in the cast.
