It was an interesting read that made me wish to learn more about these women and their stories.
Well researched, informative and entertaining.

It's the first book I read in this series and I'm wondering why I didn't start before as it was a twisty and dark story that kept me on the edge till the last page.
I was surprised by the twists and spooked by the atmosphere. The MCs are well rounded and likeable, the plot is solid and never fails to keep the attention alive.
Highly recommended.

A bleak, dark, and gripping story that kept me on the edge and turning pages. It's not a light mystery and it's a multilayered story with a main character, Franky, trying to stay on the right side of the law and to discover who is the real culprit for a killing he went to prison.
There's plenty of twists, some lighter moment, and I was surprised till the end.
An excellent noir/thriller that I liked.

I still have to find a Henry Christie's mystery I didn't like. This one wasn't one that kept me guessing and turning pages.
Mr Oldham delivers another solid and gripping story and it's always a pleasure to catch up with Henry Christie
Highly recommended.

Jeri Westerson has a knack for delivering historical mystery that are entertaining and informative. This new series, featuring Will Somers the joker as MC, is set during Henry VIII reign.
Will Somers, like Crisping Guest, is a character who's neither-her-nor-there. He's not a courtesan but he's got access to the king.
This situation helps him to access info, to listen to people, and to remain alive plus solving mysteries.
There's a lot of potential in this first in a series full of promises.

I was attracted by the blurb and the gorgeous cover. There's potential and it could have a great story but there's too much characters and plot.
I think that the author has talent but some editing would help.

DCI Christine Caplan is the main character in a new series by Caro Ramsay. The series starts with a bang and never stopped keeping me hooked on the edget.
There's plenty of twist, there's violence, and an interesting MC.
It's an excellent novel that met my expectations and I came to expect a lot from this Tartan Noir writer.
Gripping and entertaining.
Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the mystery and the romance and had fun. My rating would have been higher but the religious part bored to me to tears and didn't add anything to the plot.

I think there's a lot of potential and the characters are lovely. Some more editing would help as the plot flows.
I give it 4 stars as I loved Jack.

I think I read other books by this author but I couldn't connect to this one and it didn't keep my attention.
it's one of those me-not-the-book-case
