The Bernicia Chronicles are always a fast paced, action packed, and highly entertaining read. You're never bored and I'm usually on the edge till the end
It's great to catch up with the characters and the historical background is well researched and vivid.
Another good story that I strongly recommend.

I think that Ada Moncrieff writes entertaining historical mysteries that pays homage to the Golden Age authors.
This one was entertaining and I liked the descriptions of the theatre world and the solid mystery
I wasn't a fan of Daphne who can be a bit irritating at times but I appreciated her strength.
The style of writing reminded me of the Golden Age novels and the pace is one of a classic mystery

An Afro-futurist story with many layers and ideas: a story of getting to know who we are and getting in touch with our inner power, beauty and illness, colours, and a future which is both dreamy and dystopia.
The author is a talented storyteller and I loved this story that grew on me and made appreciate the main characters and this world.
Excellent world building and plot development.

I'm sure I would have loved this book if I had read the rest of the series. That said I want to read the previous 3 as I found that the world building is well done and storytelling good.
I'm sure that those who loved the rest of the series will love it
