To be honest I'm still reading it but I'm loving this story and the illustrations.
It's a classic, saw the movies but never read the book.
A fascinating and enjoyable read that can be appreciated by children and adults.

This series improves with each new novel and this one was the excellent conclusion of this trilogy. A well plotted and compelling story of emotions and friendship, it kept me reading and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Not the first book I read by David Annandale but his first book in the world of Arkham . A creepy and highly entertaining book that kept me turning pages.
The author di an excellent job in mixing the cosmic horror with mystery and the atmosphere of the Twenties.
The characters are fleshed out, there's the right level of creepiness, and it's highly entertaining.

This was the fist book i read featuring Samuel Craddock and i loved it as it's gripping, well plotted, and there's a cast of fleshed out and relatable characters.
The small town atmosphere, the secrets, the differences between the raiders and the more conservative people in the town: everything is well developed and well written.
The mystery is solid, I couldn't guessed the culprit and the twists surprised me.
I can't wait to read another novel, this one is highly recommended.

There's a lot of potential, a creepy atmosphere, a lot of questions. There's a dual timeline that made me turn pages as fast as I can and a lot of surprising twists.
The author delivers a growing sense of dread and i loved the forest and it's wild atmosphere.
It was great up to 90%, the final part was anticlimax and I was left with a lot of questions.
A good mix of folk horror and paranormal I would love to read another book to answer to the questions.
