I'm loving books set in Goat Parvo, the humor and the characters.
This was a fun addition, different fromt the usual crime thriller and I thoroughly enjoyed.
It's recommended if you love cozy mysteries and enjoy an entertaining and compelling story.

It's not an easy read even if it's gripping and entertaining. There's plenty of parts about women abuse and you cannot help feeling for the women involved.
David Voegel and his teams are back and the mystery is twisty and gripping.
It's a twisty, dark and gripping story that I strongly recommend.

Another entertaining story in this good series. I was glad to catch up with the characters, had a lot of fun, and the solid mystery kept me guessing.
Even it can be read as a stand alone I recommend to read the rest of the series.

This book was high on the “sleep deprivation” scale as you cannot stop reading once you start.
It’s adrenaline fuelled, fast paced, twisty and unputdownable.
It starts with a BANG and never stop adding twists, surprises. Each twists raise new questions and you never know what will happen.
I was on the edge till the last chapters and turned pages as fast as I could.
Josie is back, a bit less emotional than in the last stories, even if the story brings back memories and the people involved are part of her team.
The author did an excellent job in describing the dynamics of a team under stress and of the toxic relationships and characters.
You cannot help feeling for the characters and Josie and rooting for the best solution.
I was surprised, entertained and loved this story, one of the best in this series so far.
There’s plenty of darkness in this story but there’s also friendship, team work and the joint effort of a team to solve the mystery and save one of them.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment, this one is strongly recommended.

It's entertaining, cozy, festive and I thought I was going to like it. I enjoyed it but it's one of those "me, not the book" as I read a couple of story with a similar plot.

I don't know if this is the start of a cozy series or it was intended for a middle grade audience, I know I liked this slow burning story the kept me reading.
It's a well written, cozy, and heartwarming story with some poignant moments.
There’re two sub plots: one involving the adult detective investigating the disappearance of two vases and one featuring the neighborhood kids investigating the disappearance of a dog.
I found the characters fleshed out and likeable. Jack is a relatable character, a big city detective who moved to a small town and he’s eager to solve the mystery. Charlie is a bit more jaded but an interesting character.
The plot is solid, no plot hole, and it kept me reading and entertained till the last page.
I liked the relationship amongst the kids, their friendship, and their loyalty.
The descriptions of the small town are well done and I was able to visualize the places and the characters.
This story can be appreciated by older children but some part should be explained by an adult as they could be a bit harsh for a child.
I think there’s a lot of potential and this could become a very interesting cozy series.

I had a lot of fun in reading this story and Teufel became one of my favorite fictional cat.
It's a highly entertaining and riveting story, fast paced and full of humor.
I laughed a lot, kept turning pages and loved the characters and the storytelling.
There are ghosts, ghostly cats, ravens and the Tower of London.
The author is a good storyteller and loved the humour.
I surely want to read the rest of the series as this book was really funny and well written.

Another witty, gripping and highly entertaining story in this series.
Mike Ripley does an excellent job in recreating Albert Campion, Lugg and the characters from the classic Allingham's stories.
This one, set in 1965, has some elements of a spy story mixed with a classic whodunit. It's as entertaining and witty as the other novels in this series.
I had fun in reading it and I loved the descriptions of Cambridge in the Sixties.
One note: there're some technical descriptions that I found a bit boring and hard to follow.

I think it's the first biography of Charles I I read even if I read a lot about his time and what happend
